The Reserve Bank's interest rate rise of 0.25 per cent has had no impact on auction clearance rates in Melbourne this weekend.
About 350 properties went to auction yesterday and a few more will be auctioned in the Caulfield area today.
Real Estate Institute of Victoria spokesman Enzo Raimondo says this week's clearance figure has been a good one.
"The result has been a 71 per cent clearance rate, so there's been absolutely no impact by the latest interest rate rise because this, the 70 per cent clearance rate, has been consistent for the last few months," he said. |
