Permanent accounting positions across Australia increased by nearly six per cent in June, according to the latest Ambition accounting jobs survey. The monthly index - released by recruitment firm Ambition - shows that accounting jobs in Sydney and Melbourne grew eight per cent and seven per cent respectively, while Brisbane increased by only three per cent. The survey also revealed that Sydney continues to dominate the market share of national accounting positions - with almost 50 per cent - followed by Melbourne at 23.9 per cent. Paul Lyons, Managing Director of Ambition says despite the positive environment in the first half of 2005, supply and demand issues at different levels of the profession and changing economic climates offshore could easily influence the outlook from month-to-month for the remainder of the year. http://www.cpaaustralia.com.au/c ... _15053_ENA_HTML.htm |
