2010最令美国人讨厌词语:whatever连续两年入选

民调显示,“whatever(无论什么)”连续第二年被美国人认为是“最令人讨厌的词语”。位列第二和第三的是“like(喜欢)”和“you know what I mean(你明白我的意思)”。

今日公布的玛丽斯特民调(Marist Poll)结果显示,39%的受访者最讨厌使用“whatever”。据了解,在谈话时这个词使用的频率非常高。29%的受访者讨厌听到“like”这一词语,在他们看来,这个词是最具攻击性的词汇。此外,15%的受访者,对“you know what I mean”这句话充满了厌恶感。紧随其后的,则是10%的受访者不喜欢听到 “to tell you the truth(说实话)”。

在2009年,“whatever”以47%的投票率被选为最令人厌恶的词语。

Other phrases that make your skin crawl..."at the end of the day"..."blood and treasure"..."it is what it is" and "look"... when it's used to start the answer to a question.

So which words drive East Texans bananas?
