Providing IP telephony consultancy and implementation to clients including: • Responsible for providing technical consulting expertise to internal project teams and customers for solution development and problem resolution. • Shape technical direction and strategies within organization. • Contribute to organization’s profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities. • Exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. • Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. • Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. • Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations • Project Management. • Mentoring of junior network engineers. Cisco or Avaya voice specialisation desirable Relevant Tertiary qualifications highly regarded Experience/ Competencies Required Technical Skills • 5 years experience in networking with significant experience in IP telephony design and implementation. • Must have professional presentation skill • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to negotiate and influence others • Strong drive and motivation • Some project management experience desirable. Must be able to meet tight deadlines and project budgets. • 5 years networking experience with strong understanding of Cisco and other vendor solutions and products • IP telephony consulting experience • Wireless and/or security expertise an advantage • Design experience Personal Attributes • Good presentation and communication skills • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines • Ability to influence others |
