Solution Architect – Bid & Propose and Implementation:

IT Telephony Engineer and Tasks Include:
The Solution Architect is responsible for providing advanced technical support and advice to others on engagements during proposal writing, solution design and implementation. Leading team members and third party organisations in project implementation, utilising technological methodologies and components. Accountable for ensuring the technical and network integrity of the architecture/design, in accordance with the client’s requirements.


Mandatory Technical Skills:
To assist projects encompassing disciplines associated with:
•        Cisco CallManager
•        Cisco IPCC Standard and Express
•        Cisco Unity and Voicemail
•        Network implementation and strategy roll-out projects
•        Design and implementation of WAN/LAN and network integration skills
•        Network skills including the following technologies and protocols:
o        TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, SNA, ISDN, 10/100/1000 Switched Ethernet, MPLS, Frame Relay, ATM
•        Cisco Catalyst switches: 4500, 3500 and 2900 series
•        Cisco Routers: 3600, 2600 and 1700 series
•        Experience in implementing Quality of Service
•        Experience in setting up connections with PABX's to function with a Cisco VoIP network

Desirable Technical Skills:
•        Cisco PIX Firewalls
•        Wireless technologies
•        IPFX Vision


Key Skills:
•        Proven results in a network infrastructure design role.
•        Excellent documentation skills – design and IT architecture
•        Analysis, communication and presentation ability
•        Experience and / or qualifications that include, Cisco Certified Network Professional certification (CCNP) and/or Cisco Certified Design Professional certification (CCDP)
•        Experience in design, planning and testing methodologies
•        Proposal management
•        Technical Solution writing
•        Client relationship

•        Customer Service/Support team members
External Contacts:
•        Significant contact with customer and third party staff at technical levels
•        Vendor liaison
