Council shuts down ‘illegal’ shed advertised as granny flat for $1,000 a month in Sydney A Sydneysider who advertised their tiny tin shed to rent as a “granny flat” for $1,000 a month has been slammed online amid the ongoing rental crisis. The shed situated in Minto in Sydney’s south west, was listed on Facebook marketplace before a frustrated man questioned the legality of the ad. The tiny accommodation features tiled floors throughout, and has a fitted shower and toilet, however, it appears to be built at the end of another property’s yard.
