A friend of mine has been looking for a job for a while since he finished his study & got his GC/PR in Australia. Recently he got an opportunity to work for a G500 company Aussie sub as a network architect. But he feels that he is not good at business skills and when it comes to negotiating his salary. He doesn't know how to push the employer to get the ball rolling, i.e., he wants the employer to give him a salary figure first but it seems highly unlikely that the sharp & uncompromising manager would give him this piece of crucial information first. He doesn't know what could he do to sort out this problem smoothly and turns to me for help. But I am also not very experienced in this kind of scenario either. Could someone on this BBS shed some lights on this topic? I am pretty sure both he and myself would appreciate your kind help and suggestions.
