Can blackberry be used to run the trading platform from other party like CMC?

no, blackberry is used to access your mail box .

gprs is too slow ,maybe you can consider minmax (1xrtt/evdo) however ,this service in telstra will be terminated at beginning of next year , the only choice could be NextG with 3.6 Mbs at downlink currently .

3 is cheaper however poor RF coverage while telstra is more expensive with good QoS. you should make decision .
