Hi everyone,

Would you please let me know if you know the answers. Thanks a lot!!

1. For research master/PhD students, which date is regarded as completion of the study, and he/she can (and must) lodge 880 visa application within 6 months? The date when the thesis is submitted, or the date when the master/PhD degree is conferred by the comiittee (after examination of the thesis)?
(ie, when could we get the completion letter from the Uni?)

2. If a valid 880 visa apllication is lodge without IELTS result, how long a period will be given for "providing additonal information" (eg the IELTS result)?

(3. BTW, if one uses a 495 visa, after living 2 years (and working 1 year) in the region, what kind of perminant visa can he/she otain that does not require further stay in that region??)
