To SydneySider, your claim is wrong. First of all, TAFE accepts students who gradute from year 10, if you want to go to uni you probably need to finish year 12 then sit for the exam. Secondly, there are many courses that are availble in TAFE only, you can't learn them from any university, like locksmith, gardening, real estate etc.
To say what separates a winner and a loser, I don't think a uni degree does the trick. I know a guy who finished uni, then went to TAFE and learned how to fix fridges. He works around Newcastle area, he makes 200+k per year, and he's got lots of free time to do what he really enjoys - surfing. Will you call him a loser? |
