Police are investigating two armed robberies which occurred in Sydney’s south last night.
In the first incident, about 7.15pm (Sunday 22 April 2012), a man entered a convenience store on Arncliffe Street, Wolli Creek, and threatened an attendant and a security guard with a knife.
He fled the scene with the store’s cash register and was last seen getting into the passenger side of a blue Mazda 3, which was last seen travelling south on Arncliffe Street.
The man has been described as about 183cm tall, slim build, wearing a white hooded jumper, dark blue jeans, black gloves and light coloured sneakers.
The victims were uninjured.
In a separate incident, about 9pm, a man entered a service station on Railway Parade, Carlton, and threatened the male attendant with a handgun.
A small amount of cash was handed over and the offender fled the scene and was last seen running south on Shaftsbury Avenue, Carlton.
The attendant was uninjured.
He has been described as wearing a blue hooded jumper with a dark coloured scarf covering his face.
