2, Qualified Structural Engineer is going to cost you a fortune, it depends on how deep you want to go. If need, you have to get a copy of existing structural drawings, however, soil test may need to be done as well (usually around $200-$300)
3, First of all, it needs to be identified whether it is a ongoing structural problem. Base on the photos, they are only hair-craks, and step-craks like this is happening quite often.
4, Some of other comments are right, underpin is the tradition to strengthern the foundation. But not cheap, usually $2000-$3000 per location. Basically, it is going to replace the dirt soil with concrete.
5, Alternative, you may use another product called Uretek. This has the same concept as No.3 but cost less. |
