你 run 一下这个 tool,连税局都不可能对LZ的情况作出判决,根据得益条例,楼主可算税务居民,就算税局以后翻案,也不会罚款.

The tax is from your income.  If u got interest from bank, that's ur income.  If the income is lower than 6000, u dont have to pay tax.  If the bank withhold ur tax from ur interest, u could refund tax with e-tax or paper form.  If u have told the bank ur TFN, they wont withhold the tax. So u can't refund because u haven't pay any tax to ATO. In my opinion, u should lodge a tax refund with no refund.  Just use e-tax, it's quite simple. Download it from ATO.gov.au.
