Are you a passionate software developer, with a good understanding of data structures, an interest in "big data" and large scale storage systems?
We're looking for someone who is interested in a variety of programming languages for example PHP, Python, Ruby, C#, Java.
The sort of person we are looking for is someone who paid attention during their university computer science degree, and is able to explain important data structures and how those data structures are applied in software.
Ideally you are someone with an interest in databases, who finds the idea of "big data" appealing. You might be someone who finds SQL databases interesting. Perhaps you might be intrigued by technologies like Hadoop, NoSQL, column store databases, OLAP, and have an interest in finding out more about them.
The right person for this job is a programmer with a strong grasp of object oriented programming who would like to be working on back end systems, but also has the ability to do some web application development from time to time.
