I've been using Macbook air for a while, now decided to load xp on. There was some errors during the partitioning, google it, reinstalled OS X and now it fixed. However, a problem occurred after I clicked on 'start installation' after 25G have partitioned. This what I got: - run boot camp assistance, partitioned 25G - insert Windows XP pro Service Pack 2/3 to my external HP dvd drive p.s: external HP dvd drive is tested out working fine which I used to install my OS X - apple OS X restarted, but funny symbols repeatedly rotating in the centre of screen, a cross + apple + a folder - this going on for more than 30+ minutes but nothing changed - forced to powered off, and start again...same problem - restart OS X, there appeared a new partition on the desktop 'Boot Camp' - restored to single OS X partition, partition again, start 'windows installer'..same problem - change Windows XP pro Service Pack 2/3, same problem Would this because I have to have an original dvd drive(super drive) to install? any suggestions please?
