昨日清晨，NSW北部海岸海滨度假地Yamba聚会Party失控，一辆警车被点燃，警察被投掷砖头和石块。

13人被逮捕，以公共场所斗殴罪被起诉，4人仍被关押。

警方说凌晨2点半接到电话出警来到某工业区。当他们到达时，手持砖块的20多人围住警车，开始砸车体和车窗。两名警察徒步逃离了该地区，他们的警车被点燃和损毁。

当第二辆警车赶到时，又遭到了砖块的攻击，造成了5万元的财产损失。警方只好派更多的警车才控制了现场。

被逮捕的年龄都在16至23岁之间，于昨日出庭受审。

Police car burnt in party mayhem

A police car was set on fire and bricks and stones were hurled at police officers at an out-of-control party at a beach holiday town on the North Coast early yesterday, police said.

Thirteen people were arrested and charged with affray and four remained behind bars last night.

The NSW Premier, Kristina Keneally, has asked police to brief her on the incident.

Police said they were called to an industrial area in Deering Street, Yamba, about 2.30am.

When they arrived, 20 people armed with bricks confronted them and started smashing the panels and windows of their car.

The mob turned on police who tried to stop them.

Two police left the area on foot, and their car was set on fire and destroyed.

When a second patrol car arrived, it was pelted with bricks and stones, causing $50,000 in damage, police said.

More police were called to the scene.

Those arrested, all aged between 16 and 23, appeared yesterday at Grafton Local Court.
