LZ should accept the fine. You did made mistake.
My BF (actually when he's driving my car) once got >$200 fine just because he turned left at a "no left turn 7:30am-9:30am". We were not prepared to turn left so we did not notice there was a sign. But we were stucked on the main road right before the left turn corner and many cars in front of us were stucked too, so we decided to turn left in order to catch up a flight. Just when we steered 90 degree, we saw the 2nd sign. It's too late. There was no possibility to steer back as the car followed us alredy moved forward and stucked there. A policeman was right there waiting for us - obviously we were not the 1st fish. We asked why Left Turn not permitted. The answer was to prevent people to go shortcut to the airport (Adelaide). It's a rediculars excuse. The actual reason is they want to raise fund. ( our friend,a senior police officer also reckon the real reason is to raise fund, of course he siad this privately). My BF did not lose any points ever since he got his driver's license (over 25 years, hehe). He wanted to complain. The police friend said the complaint would only cost you another 50c. He insisted to send a complaint letter and got exactly what the police friend has told us. |
