据2008年4月4日《悉尼晨锋报》报道,据昨天公布的官方销售数据显示,今年第一季度的三个月,丰田Corolla成为全澳最畅销车型,超越了澳洲本地老牌的霍顿(Holden)Commodore稳居澳洲汽车市场销量冠军,这也是12年来霍顿Commodore首次在季度销量中痛失冠军宝座。

最新的数据还显示,尽管利率一再上升,但澳洲人购买汽车的数量却创出历史记录。今年头三个月汽车销量比去年同比上升3.3%,业内人士预计今年澳洲新车的销售数量仍将超过100万辆。

A SMALL Toyota could be the car of the future for the wide brown land. Official sales figures for March released yesterday show the Corolla has been Australia's best-selling car over the first three months of the year.

It is the first time in 12 years the Holden Commodore has been displaced from its lead in a quarterly result.

The Commodore outsold the Corolla by just 20 cars in March, but in the tally for the three months, the Corolla leads the Commodore by almost 500 sales.

The figures also show Australians are continuing to buy cars in record numbers despite interest rate rises. Sales are up 3.3 per cent compared with the first three months of last year, and the industry is forecasting another year of more than 1 million new vehicle deliveries.

"We are yet to see any definitive effect on sales from the recent interest rate rises, although there was some evidence in March of fewer private buyers in the market," said the chief executive of the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries, Andrew McKellar. But, he added, March had fewer selling days because of the Easter public holidays.

It is not only new cars attracting buyer interest. One Holden collector from far north Queensland last week paid $920,000 for a rare Monaro. It is the most money paid for an Australian muscle car.

The building industry businessman, who wished to remain anonymous but whose nickname is "Chooka", turned up to the prestige Sydney dealership in shorts and thongs last week after arranging a test drive - on a race track.

The car is one of only two Monaros built called the HRT 427. The high-performance V8 coupe, capable of reaching 300kmh, was shelved after it was deemed too expensive to build.

"I'm a Monaro fanatic," the buyer said. "I've got 20 of them, from the first ones in 1968 through to the last one in 2006 - all in pristine, low mileage original condition, complete with matching numbers - so I had to have the HRT 427 to add to my collection, as cars like this don't grow on trees.

"As far as I'm concerned it's priceless."

Holden displayed the concept version of the HRT 427 at the Sydney motor show and took deposits, but had to refund customers when the project was axed.

The original show car is still owned by Holden but the car that was built by engineers to test components was sold to a persistent buyer two years ago. He put it up for sale last month.

ECONOMIC reality has finally caught up with the new-car market, with most of the country's popular makes shedding sales during April.

The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries' monthly market bulletin, to be released tomorrow, will reveal a 7.7 per cent contraction on March sales.

More vehicles have been sold this year to date than last year, but the 84,296 new cars and trucks sold in April is almost 7000 sales down on March.

This reverse follows record results for January and February this year and in 2007, when more than a million cars sold for the first time in a calendar year.

"We're seeing the impact of all the interest-rate hikes, the continuing surge in fuel prices and the huge slump in consumer confidence,'' AMP economist Shane Oliver said.

"Car sales have held up pretty well, but all those factors are starting to catch up.

"People can put off a decision to buy a car, but they can't put off rent or food or health.''

The worst news is for local car-makers. Holden sold 650 fewer Commodores in April than in March. The company's mainstay car is 5000 units down for the year to date, compared with the same period in 2007.

The one-time market leader was outsold by Toyota's Corolla, with 3722 of the imported four-cylinder compacts sold during April compared with the Commodore's 3325 sales.

Toyota also lost sales, but extended its market lead. With almost 21,000 sales, it sold more than twice as many vehicles of all models as second-placed Holden.

Toyota's Yaris, Camry, Aurion and HiLux models, as well as the Corolla, were among the 10 most popular models.


Ford, whose new Falcon goes on sale soon, was third, with 8246 sales _ its worst result.

Mazda was next with 6749, then Mitsubishi on 5014.

Ford and Holden's fortunes rely on large V6s, which continue to decline in popularity.

The only Ford- or Holden-badged cars to improve sales during March were the Focus andthe Astra, both made in Europe and fitted with economical, four-cylinder petrol or diesel engines.

Each of the top five makes lost about 1000 sales in April, but sales remain ahead of the corresponding period last year.

A total of 347,749 new vehicles were sold to April 30, compared with 330,682 during the first four months of 2007.

New-car sales had been forecast to pass the million mark again this year, but Mr Oliver said this was now unlikely.

"Big-ticket discretionary items will be sacrificed, whether it's flat-screen TVs or cars,'' he said.

"The only thing that will help is tax cuts, but I would say they will be swamped by all these other factors.''

其实澳洲真正卖得最多的是Mazda3
Corolla 和Commodore都是靠Fleet Sale才把数字弄上取的

我在三个月前曾为我家LD买下一辆新款Corolla Hatchback,以$23,$00元成交,还送了金属漆,地毯等。黑色,自动挡,双气囊,ABS,六喇叭车内音响兼容mp3;Build date是08年2月日本原装生产,compliance date是08年3月。这是drive away价,已经包括:

所有税费、上牌费、一年注册路税$580、从日本运到墨尔本的Delivery fee$1541元等等。

Warranty是三年、100,000公里除了轮胎、刹车片之类易损件外完全免费保修。

1000公里时免费保养,再加6次常规保养,每到一万公里保养一次,每次固定$120元,据说四万公里时最划算,因为保养的成本就远超$120刀。

又有一家中国汽车品牌将登陆澳洲


除了已经宣布将于明年开始在澳洲出售QQ等品牌的奇瑞汽车公司以外,又有一家中国汽车企业--长城汽车公司宣布将进军澳洲。该公司是中国最大的民营汽车公司,计划在十二个月内把它的一些汽车输送到澳洲来展销,今年会把先一些车带到澳洲进行路试以便改进。

中国的汽车制造公司,势将取代韩国的汽车制造厂,把最价廉的汽车输入澳洲。

当然,买的永远没有卖的精。不过,在本人budget有限、囊中羞涩,汽油价格飙涨向$2/L进发,家里已经有一辆大车,只是为太太开买第二辆车的情况下,是绝对不会去买那些什么Holden大马力、Ford六缸之类的。

V斑拿到的价格确实是很好的。我最近询了一圈,还没这么好的。
