NSW Health has warned hundreds of people could be at risk of hepatitis A after a food handler at a Sydney sushi store was diagnosed with the virus.
Officials say diners who ate sushi from the Xanadu outlet in the Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre on March 11, 12, 17 and 18 could be affected.
NSW Health director of communicable diseases Dr Jeremy McAnulty says the food handler was diagnosed with Hepatitis A last week.
He's urging all customers who ate sushi from the store on those four days to contact their public health unit for a risk assessment and a possible preventative injection as soon as possible.
Anyone who ate food from the shop on the 12th, 17th and 18th can attend a free clinic at the Balmain Hospital Conference Centre tomorrow and Tuesday for a risk assessment.
