求助：因疫情滞留，境内870签证，办理sponsorship可以只用19/20财年的NOA吗

背景：最近打算帮母亲办理870，因为疫情滞留澳洲，600一次只批3个月（已境内续签过1次），太不划算，老人家转机回国又很不方便，所以打算870。

现状：准备办870的sponsorship, 在系统里填表的时候，要求我提交18/19财年的NOA，但18/19的金额没达到threshold。19/20的NOA金额是足够的。

问题：请问有经验的同志们， 我这种情况，sponsorship如果只提交19/20财年的NOA，有成功的可能吗？

We are in the same situation. The online application form asks for 18-19 NOA now. If we provide 19-20, case officer will definitely chase for 18-19. Unfortunately, we cannot provide qualified 18-19 NOA. Then the application will probably got rejected.

We think it's not a good idea to get a rejection for sponsorship application, which may affect our future applications.

We think another visa600 is a better way, regardless 3 months or 6 months granted, it can give us time to wait on shore lawfully until the requirement changed to 19-20 NOA. But, we need to pay $1065 visa fee to buy the time

Exactly the same concern. But we may have a chance to get approved for 870 sponsorship because we lodge the application on October 2020, and the 2019/2020 is the most recently completed income year from my understanding. If this is not the case, we will have to wait until July 2021 to apply the 870.

If we apply 600 now, getting a 3-month extension with $1000, we will need to apply another 600 on January 2021, then another one on April 2021 (assuming 3-month each extension). That's $3000 extra....

I think "the most recent completed taxable income year" referred to the year prior to recent 31/10, when everyone has finalised their tax return. I have a feeling the NOA year will change to 19-20 next month.

Why do you wait until July21 to apply 870?

I agree with you on November 2020, the system may change to 19/20 NOA, but I could not wait till that time as my family's current 600 will expire on 9 November 2020. It leaves too little time to process. I have to decide which to apply this week, either 600 or 870.

Why don't you do this way:
1.Apply visa600 for your family before 9/11
2.granted bridging visa + visa600 from 9/11/20 to say 9/2/21
3.get 870 sponsorship approval before 9/2/21
4.apply visa870 before 9/2/21

Yes, it seems this is the best option for me. Hopefully, the system will change to 19/20 NOA on Feb 2021.
