需要，特长可以是美术，音乐，电影，戏剧，设计等等。所有申请者都需要面试。

No. I think they haven't finished the payment processing  because I didn't get any sms notification from the bank of my credit card yet.

Your child can get into QACI if they show skill in video production and multimedia. will need a very detailed
portfolio, child needs to be creative. A youtube channel with 10 videos and 100k views should do it.

is your son in a private school?

my son goes to a private school, depending on the ranking list you find the school is in the top 20 or top 10.
How did your child get to the level they are at? north shore, private tutoring, self tutoring, or your child loves to study by themselves?
My son school is pretty good so all he needs is 1 tutor , he doesn't study that much

QA has three events on for students before the start of the new year for students, if my son doesn't get along the the other students and staff then I won't send him to QA. What makes QA Bad, travel time, high workload. high weighting for the end of course exam. What makes QA Good, studying at uni level, because student are studying at uni level there is a smooth transition to uni, IB students graduate uni at 80% where as non IB student graduate at 55% (This is the number one reason why my son should go to QA). Current school is not teaching my son to his full potential, does little work for good grades, he is not the top student but a good student. Being around other smarter kids would make my child a better student.
If your child is currently studying 3 hours at night to maintain their current high marks, then I'm not sure QA would be the best option for your child. If your goal for your child is for them to get the highest OP /uni entry ranking then don't select QA. QA students have to do a lot more study hours to get that same uni entry ranking as a normal  high school student. QA workload is about 30% more than normal high school. QA students do 6 subjects plus extent essay and TOK, and voluntary work. All the extra work a student does at QA is to make them a better student and doesn't add much to their uni rankings.

My son is in Year 7 and has been accepted to enroll when he is in Year 10.  I agree the travel time is a big problem. Your sharing is very important for us to decide if we will send him to QA in two years time.

if you really want to know what QA is really like, I'll get my son to answer your questions in two years time. Things for you to consider in grade 9, a review of his grades, has he got a strong group of social friend who are beneficial to his grades,talk to his teachers about the transfer to QA ( the teachers will be the best judge  on whether your son can manage the course load, ask your son what his career goals are, and see which school system best matches those career goals.
QA is not the only place kids can study at a uni level, GU runs a guest program for high school kids, it allows kids to complete 2 uni course units in grade 12.

"Students interested in studying IB Music at the Creative Industries campus are required to show evidence of completion of (or working toward the completion of) a level in music theory equivalent to AMEB Grade 3 Theory"  不太懂這句話？是不是AMEB Music theroy 三級以上就可以，那不是太容易嗎？
