鬼老跟我说：“hope you and the family had a lovely break. "不是应该说 hope you and your family had a lovely break 吗？
这两种说法有什么不同的意思吗？ strictly speaking " the family" is the family you talked about before he said "hope you and the family had a lovely break".(probably you discussed your family already or his impression was you have more than 1 families)
