We are looking for a Software Developer to join our Risk and GUI Team who will be responsible for developing a wide variety of our software products used by Risk Management and Trading. This person will be in a team who possess a variety of specialties across numerous technologies.
We are looking for engineers who have demonstrable experience developing Python applications, database development and who are also are able to adapt to work in a variety of other technologies. The candidate should be self motivated and enjoy working in a team. It is important that this person takes pride in developing high quality and reliable software.
What your main responsibilities will be…
Extend the functionality of our centralised order and trade capture system used for P&L calculations, risk analysis and trade reconciliations, aggregating order and trade information from multiple sources that includes in-house and 3rd-party trading systems, exchange drop-copy feeds and broker reports.
Database design and development in PostgreSQL
Design and implement other risk management and trading applications using Python, JavaScript, C++, Qt or any other technologies as required by the business on Linux and Windows platforms.
Work with the risk management team on requirements analysis, implementation and deployment of automated or one-off trade reports.
Work with the Application Support team on trading system documentation, diagnosis of production incidents and their resolution.
Ideally, you have the following qualifications and experience…
5 or more years experience in Software Development
Computer Science degree or another engineering discipline

Experience designing and developing complex software applications
Significant commercial experience developing in Python
Experience with relational databases
Good understanding of data structures and software algorithms
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Team player
Proactivity
